Experience Design for the National Museum of Mathematics

📌 Project Overview

The Museum of Mathematics (MoMath) is currently undergoing a renewal slated to be unveiled in January next year. This renewal is focused on expanding and enhancing its interactive installations to provide a richer, more immersive educational experience for visitors. While the full details of the renewal goals and the total number of new installations are still evolving, the core aim is to create fresh, engaging ways for visitors—especially younger audiences—to explore mathematical concepts.

🤝Client: National Museum of Mathmatics

🏭 Industry: Interactive Installation & Museum

⏳ Project Duration: March 2025 – Now

🛠 Tools: Figma, Unreal

👥 Team Composition: 2 UX Designers · 3 Developers · 1 Project Manager

🎯 Project Goals

The challenge was to design installations that not only fit into MoMath’s educational mission but also leverage the renewal as a chance to rethink how kids interact with mathematical ideas in a hands-on, intuitive way.

👤 My Role

As a UX Designer, I contributed to four core installations, leading the design process from concept to implementation. My work spanned user flow development, low- and high-fidelity prototyping, and the creation of a unified design system to ensure consistency across experiences. I continuously refined interactions based on user behavior, task goals, and technical feasibility. As the MoMath renewal is still in progress and set to launch next year, some visuals and final design outcomes remain under development.
